Centuries ago, a course of dark power swept through the lands of the western continent, consuming all its great kingdoms: cities, people, their wealth and wonders. There is no one left to save, and only their relics remain. The allure of these riches brings pirates, fortune seekers, adventurers and treasure hunters.
Ziii came from a quiet village and a loving family, but she doesn't want a quiet life. Ziii wants to be rich.
Ziii is a retro fantasy action-adventure that blends top-down exploration with side-scroll platforming. Take the helm of your ship, The Salty Seagull, in first person and steer across open water as randomly generated islands rise on the horizon. Round each island from a retro top-down view, drop anchor, and go ashore into an RPG-style overworld spanning four elemental biomes: scorching deserts, lush forests, freezing ice and fiery landscapes.
Follow paths into focused adventure zones that blend top-down exploration with side-scrolling combat, and hunt for hidden dungeon entrances. Inside, find special items such as high-jumping dragoon boots, cloaks of invisibility and freezing arrows. Brew potions from gathered herbs at your ship's brewing machine, and equip magical rings and amulets that boost stamina, speed, hearts, attack and elemental defence. At the end of each dungeon a formidable boss guards either a permanent extra heart or a highly valuable ancient relic.
Everything you claim goes below deck. Place relics on the pedestals of your personal vault to add their worth to your total, and fill it to a value of 100,000 gold to become a legendary fortune seeker.
The voyage doesn't have to be a solitary one. Ziii supports online co-op: friends sail their own ships across the same sea, put in at the same islands, and descend into the same dungeons together.
