Play online with friends

No one said you had to do this alone. Ziii supports online co-op, so friends can join your game and hunt the same sea, the same islands and the same dungeons alongside you.

  • Every captain gets a ship. You each sail your own vessel. Keep formation across the open water, or scatter and meet again at the next island.
  • Raid the same dungeon. Ashore you're in it together, room for room, with someone holding the line while someone else goes for the chest.
  • Bosses are fairer with backup. More blades in the room, one very annoyed guardian.

The story

Only the relics remain

The world is vast, and many lands lie across it. Enormous magical currents pass through it, leaving marks both clear and subtle. The flow of energy touches every living person.

Centuries ago, a course of dark power swept through the lands of the western continent. In time, this wave consumed all its great kingdoms: cities, people, their wealth and wonders. Now there is no one left to save, and only their relics remain.

The allure of these riches brings many visitors: pirates, fortune seekers, adventurers, treasure hunters.

Of these, there are few who are familiar with the story of Ziii, and she likes it that way. Unlike most of them, Ziii came from a quiet village and a loving family. But she doesn't want a quiet life.

Ziii wants to be rich.

One adventure, three perspectives

Ziii moves between first-person sailing, top-down exploration and side-scrolling action, and the seams are meant to disappear.

Take the wheel

Steer The Salty Seagull across open water in first person. Check your map for bearings and watch randomly generated islands rise on the horizon.

Circle the island

Switch to a retro top-down view to circumnavigate the landmass. Sail back out to sea, or find a beach, drop anchor and step ashore.

Fade into the fight

Follow paths on the world map to fade seamlessly into focused adventure zones, a dynamic blend of top-down exploration and side-scrolling combat.

Loot it, brew it, wear it, fight it

Dungeons

Hidden entrances, special items

Discover dungeon entrances scattered across the adventure areas. Descend into top-down ruins to find items like high-jumping dragoon boots, cloaks of invisibility, or freezing arrows, to help you navigate the dangers within.

Brewing

Red herbs and the brewing machine

Gather red herbs across the lands and brew vital potions at the brewing machine aboard your ship. Stock up before you go ashore. There's no shop in a dead kingdom.

Accessories

Magical rings and amulets

Collect rings and amulets to increase your stamina and run speed, gain extra hearts, or boost your attack and defence against the world's elements.

Bosses

Something waits at the bottom

At the end of each dungeon a formidable boss awaits. Defeat them to claim a permanent extra heart to aid your survival, or a highly valuable ancient relic destined for your treasure vault.

The goal

Fill the vault

While onboard, switch to a top-down deck view and head below deck into your personal headquarters. Place your hard-won relics on pedestals in your vault to add their worth to your total.
